While that is a valid point, and I would like to apologize for hurting anyone’s feelings, we stand by our statements.
The model industry, just like any other industry such as music and film, are not here to coddle anyone. All we did was point out the flaws in the photos. This should have given them the exact way to improve their shots.
Imagine what would happen if they thought their shots were all masterpieces, because that's what everyone was telling them and then they got in front of a real industry professional who tells them worse things than we did.
Again, I do apologize if someone got their feelings hurt, but they should take our "opinions" (that's all it is) and improve their technique.
It's not as if we made personal attacks, all statements were purely aimed at helping to get a better shot.
On the other hand, some of the responsibility for getting a good shot is on the photographer too.

I am a bit offended that you used the term "scathing". Why are our true statements scathing? Is it because we actually speak the truth about the industry? Have you looked at the rest of the site? I expect to ruffle a few feathers, but there is definitely a lot of great content on the site. Considering that most "working" models don't get paid, I feel that we are doing the models a great service by opening their eyes to the pipe dream of being a model.
